No- it's best not to shower before your appointment, the day before is best but a minimum of 4 hours before.

Make sure to exfoliate off any old self-tanner or spray tan you may have on with an exfoliator mitt!

Yes, do not get wet and try not to sweat after your spray tan until your first rinse. If it is raining out, bring an umbrella with you to your appointment.

Wait the given amount of processing time until showering. If you do not rinse at your designated time, your tan may develop too light or too dark. Do not use soap, shave or use hair products in the shower during your initial rinse. Rinse until the water runs clear. Temperature should be lukewarm. If you see streaks after getting out of the shower, hop back in and use your hand to guide the leftover bronzer off.

Do not apply any lotions, makeup, deodorant, oil to your skin until after your first rinse.

Try to use organic and or natural oil products. Mineral oil, petroleum, alcohol, parabens and sulfates found in most creams and body washes can cause your tan to fade prematurely.

Keeping your body moisturized is KEY to making your tan long lasting. Drink lots of water to stay hydrated from the inside out.

Avoid the use of baths, hot tubs and chlorinated pools!

Depending on what you choose to wear during your spray tan. Want a crisp tan line? Plan on wearing a solid bottom instead of a lace undie. The spray will penetrate through the lighter areas of lace and cause a leopard, uneven looking tan line.

Do not worry if you notice dark areas around the creases of your neck, underarms, elbows and knees. Please do not rub because these are just the initial bronzers that will blend in completely after showering.
